Polymarket pUSD and Deposits: Every Funding Method (October 2026)
Polymarket’s trading collateral is pUSD — a USDC-backed ERC-20 token on Polygon. Every deposit, whatever the source, wraps into pUSD: send USDC from your wallet, bridge from Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin or Tron, or fund with card and ACH on the US-regulated app — you trade in pUSD either way, and Polymarket charges no deposit or withdrawal fees of its own.
What is pUSD?
- ERC-20 token on Polygon, 1:1 backed by native USDC
- Wrapping happens through the Collateral Onramp: incoming USDC or USDC.e becomes pUSD in your Polymarket wallet
- Since the April 28, 2026 migration, pUSD is the single collateral across prediction markets and perps
- Redeemable back to USDC on withdrawal
What are the deposit paths?
| Method | Source | How |
|---|---|---|
| Direct on-chain | USDC already on Polygon | Send to your Polymarket deposit address |
| Bridge (EVM) | Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism | evm bridge address |
| Bridge (Solana) | SOL/SPL assets | svm bridge address |
| Bridge (Bitcoin) | BTC | btc bridge address |
| Bridge (Tron) | TRC assets | tron bridge address |
| Fiat onramp | Card / bank | Polymarket US app: Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, debit, wire |
Bridge mechanics: request bridge addresses for your wallet (one per address type), send assets from the matching source chain, and the Bridge API converts them to pUSD automatically. Each address is unique to your wallet.
What are the minimums and the large-deposit path?
- Each asset has its own minimum deposit — check
/supported-assets; below-minimum transfers are not processed - For deposits over $50,000 from a non-Polygon chain, the docs recommend third-party bridges (DeBridge, Across, Portal) routed to your Polymarket USDC address on Polygon to minimize slippage
- Polymarket is not affiliated with those third-party bridges
What if I deposit the wrong token?
Sending unsupported tokens risks irrecoverable loss. The recovery tool at recovery.polymarket.com can reclaim many mistaken deposits — but prevention beats recovery: always verify your token against the supported-assets list before sending.
How do withdrawals work?
- Withdrawals return pUSD to USDC and settle on Polygon
- No Polymarket fee on withdrawals; intermediary and gas costs may apply
- On perps accounts, withdrawals must leave the greater of reserved margin and 10% of open-position notional — a $100 position at 20x reserves $10 against withdrawal even though initial margin is $5
