How Much Can I Actually Withdraw From Polymarket? (Floor Calculator)

Ahmed Trading· withdrawal · Updated October 2026

You won $1,000 of net profit, your portfolio shows $3,400 — and the withdrawal screen offers you $154. Nothing is broken. Between your balance and your bank sit three subtractions most traders discover only at cash-out time: locked capital in open positions, the 10% withdrawal floor, and wins that resolved but were never redeemed. Here is exactly how the number gets small — and a free calculator that shows it before you plan your cash-out.

How much can I actually withdraw from Polymarket?

Your withdrawable amount = (redeemable wins − 10% floor) — everything locked in unresolved positions. Concretely: open positions count at current mark but can’t leave until their market resolves (winners pay $1.00/share, losers $0.00); resolved-but-unclaimed wins sit in “redeemable” until you click; and the platform holds back a floor equal to roughly 10% of your total portfolio value, which settles after your open positions resolve. A trader with $1,240 in live positions, $310 of redeemable wins, and a $155 floor can withdraw about $155 — not $1,550.

The three subtractions, in order of pain

1. Locked positions (usually the biggest). Every share you hold in an unresolved market is capital at work — it cannot fund your withdrawal. This isn’t a penalty, it’s the position itself. But it wrecks cash-out plans built on mark-to-market numbers, especially in multi-outcome events where your negative-risk baskets display as converted YES legs.

2. The 10% floor. The platform holds back a fraction of total value at withdrawal time and settles it after your open positions resolve. Two practical consequences: the floor scales with your whole portfolio (so adding positions shrinks today’s withdrawable number), and it’s why planning withdrawals to the exact dollar always disappoints.

3. Unredeemed wins. The cheapest money left on the table. Resolved markets pay into a “redeemable” bucket and wait for your click. No deadline, but unclaimed wins also inflate your floor while sitting there.

Free tool: withdrawal-floor (CLI)

I packaged the same math as my live HuggingFace calculator into a read-only CLI that reads your public positions — no wallet connection, no keys:

git clone https://github.com/tradingbotsbuilder/withdrawal-floor.git
cd withdrawal-floor
python3 withdrawal_floor.py --address 0xYourWallet

Output:

Address : 0xabc...
Open positions : 4 (value $1,240.50) — locked until resolution
Redeemable wins : 2 (value $310.00)
10% floor : $155.05
Withdrawable now : $154.95

Run it before you size a withdrawal, after every resolution wave, and before moving funds anywhere — the number moves as markets resolve, and yesterday’s figure is already stale. Prefer a browser? The interactive version with the same formulas lives at my HuggingFace Space.

Planning a clean cash-out

  1. Redeem everything — free money first, it also lowers your floor.
  2. Check the floor after redeeming; it shrinks as locked positions resolve.
  3. Let the big positions resolve — a weekend of resolutions can double your withdrawable number without new capital.
  4. Then withdraw once — each withdrawal has its own processing path; see the withdrawals guide and pUSD-era specifics.
  5. Keep the records — your withdrawal history is the spine of your tax filing; see reporting with no 1099.

FAQ

Q: Why can’t I withdraw my full Polymarket balance? A: Three holds: open positions (locked until resolution), the ~10% floor (settled after your positions resolve), and wins sitting in redeemable until claimed. The withdrawable number is what remains after all three.

Q: What is the 10% withdrawal floor on Polymarket? A: A holdback of roughly 10% of your total portfolio value taken at withdrawal time, returned after your open positions resolve. It scales with the whole portfolio, so it moves as you trade.

Q: How do I check my withdrawable amount before withdrawing? A: Run the free CLI calculator at github.com/tradingbotsbuilder/withdrawal-floor — it reads your public positions and prints locked, redeemable, floor, and the actual withdrawable figure. Or use the interactive HuggingFace calculator linked above.

Q: Do locked positions come back automatically? A: Yes — at resolution, winning legs redeem at $1.00/share and losing legs at $0.00; the capital either pays out or it doesn’t, and the floor releases after.

Q: Is the floor lost if my positions all lose? A: No. The floor is a holdback, not a fee — it settles against final outcomes like everything else. What you lose in a total-wipeout scenario is the positions themselves, not the holdback.
