Polymarket Deposit Not Showing Up? Every Cause and Fix (pUSD Era)

Ahmed Trading· withdrawal · Updated October 2026

You sent funds, the transaction confirmed — and the balance still reads zero. Before assuming the worst: deposits stall for a small set of reasons, and most resolve without support. Work this list in order; each check takes under a minute.

Why is my Polymarket deposit not showing up?

The six causes, most common first: 1. Wrong network. Funds sent over Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, or another chain when the deposit address expects Polygon — funds are not lost, but they’re not where the platform looks. 2. Token the platform doesn’t credit. Sending an asset the deposit system doesn’t recognize (especially post-pUSD-migration tokens) leaves funds sitting uncredited. 3. Exchange-side delay. If the deposit originated on an exchange, its own withdrawal processing (nightly batches, compliance holds) can precede the on-chain leg — check the exchange’s withdrawal status first. 4. Address mismatch. Funds sent to your external wallet address instead of the Polymarket deposit address (or vice versa after the proxy-wallet architecture — see the deposits guide). 5. Crediting lag. On perps accounts, deposits credit when the engine sees them — a delay of minutes can occur during high load; on event- market balances, Polygon confirmations are fast but UI refresh can lag. 6. Stuck transaction. Polygon congestion is rare but real; a pending transaction blocks downstream ones.

The minute-per-cause checklist

  1. Find the transaction hash. From your sending wallet or exchange. No hash = the money hasn’t left the sender (check the exchange’s withdrawal status page).
  2. Paste the hash into a Polygon explorer. Status? If “failed” — the funds returned to the sender; resend with proper gas. If “success” — note the recipient address.
  3. Compare the recipient address with your Polymarket deposit address character by character. Mismatch = wrong destination; the funds are in whatever wallet owns that address.
  4. Check the token contract the transfer used. Post the April 2026 exchange upgrade, credited collateral is pUSD — legacy USDC.e or unsupported tokens arrive but don’t credit; see the pUSD migration details.
  5. Confirm the network. The explorer shows the chain; Polymarket deposit rails run on Polygon.
  6. Wait one refresh cycle (5-10 minutes) with a hard UI reload — crediting is engine-side and the UI is a view, not the source of truth.

Special cases

Deposited to perps but balance shows on event-markets side (or vice versa). These are separate balances on one account; a transfer in the wrong place isn’t lost — it needs an internal move. See perps funding for how the perps ledger works.

Sent to the old address after the exchange upgrade. The upgrade moved settlement to new contracts; funds at legacy addresses follow the migration paths documented in pUSD-era withdrawals — they are recoverable, not burned.

Deposit cleared but still can’t trade. Check the withdrawable-vs-locked distinction — credited funds in open positions or the floor aren’t available for new orders even though the deposit “arrived.”

When to contact support (and how not to get scammed)

If the hash shows success, to the right address, in pUSD, on Polygon, and 30+ minutes have passed: open a ticket with the hash attached — one ticket, official channel only. Anyone who DMs you first offering to “unstick” a deposit is a scammer; see support impersonators and the scam catalog.

FAQ

How long do Polymarket deposits take? On-chain from your own wallet: typically minutes (Polygon confirms in seconds; engine crediting follows). From an exchange: add the exchange’s own withdrawal processing time — often the real bottleneck.

I sent USDC but Polymarket shows nothing — is my money lost? Almost never. Check the transaction hash on a Polygon explorer: failed transactions return to sender; wrong-network or wrong-token sends sit at the destination and follow recovery paths — see pUSD-era recovery.

Does Polymarket support deposits on Ethereum mainnet? The deposit rails run on Polygon. Mainnet sends to a Polygon address typically don’t credit automatically and need recovery — always send on Polygon.

My deposit arrived but I can’t place orders — why? Perps orders pass the worst-case margin check, and event-market orders need available (not locked) balance: open positions and the floor reduce what’s orderable — see the margin check and the floor math.

Can a deposit be reversed or clawed back? No — on-chain transfers are final in both directions. That cuts both ways: nobody can take a completed deposit from you, and a mis-sent deposit can only be recovered by the receiving wallet’s owner.
